Poor quality control compared to my previous Spode purchases
These are not the typical Spode quality. The stripes overlap the edge on one side and fail to reach the edge on the other side of many of the plates I received. With other Spode patterns that I have purchased, plates that were off-center like this would be classified and sold as “seconds”… but these were sold as first-quality. The pattern is visually a fun addition to my Blue Italian collection, and so I will still use these at times… but I would have preferred that all were well-centered. I did originally to purchase more pieces of Steccato, but have decided against that after receiving so many pieces in this order that are clearly of lesser quality.
