Terrific heavy duty, easy to keep clean placemats
These are super sturdy and heavy duty placemats that're extremely easy to keep clean because wiping them with my dishwashing sponge works great! They are really durable and we put hot dishes on them with no trouble. No staining on the sides of the placemats after wiping them with my dishwashing sponge either! We have lesser known brand placemats that stain when the soapy water seeps under the laminate but these are much better quality than those. I'll wait until my stained ones get really bad, and then buy more new ones in a springtime design from Pimpernel to replace those. We've had the coordinating coasters for 20 years, so we finally have the matching placemats! Coaster are good as new too! Pimpernel is a extraordinary product. One final note, after initially opening the box I set these in an area where they could air-out because initially there was a chemical odor from them being manufactured. In less than a week we noticed the smell was completely gone and immediately began using them. I'm sensitive to smells so can honestly say no lingering odor can be detected at all. You won't regret buying these!
