So beautiful for autumn and winter tablescapes
We recently began “using our best” on a daily basis instead of squirreling them away in a cabinet to be used on special occasions only. Having a beautiful meal on beautiful plates is a slower and more gratifying way to live. It is good for children to learn how to treat dishes with care and respect, and they absorb the beautiful aesthetic effect. We are so pleased with our first addition of Spode Woodland, as we have no autumnal dishes yet. This is the start of a beautiful collection! For the record, these bowls are quite shallow, and hold a maximum of 8 oz. I don’t mind, it will just mean I serve seconds. More quaint that way anyway! :) The deer are absolutely adorable. So happy they were on sale, as I prefer them to the fowl.
